Glendi 2026

In the 1970’s, St. George held their Annual Bazaar which the St. George parishioners looked forward to attending each year.

In 1980, several board members attended other Greek festivals in New England in order to see how we might be able to enhance the experience of our Annual Bazaar and attract additional attendance from outside the community.

The Board of Directors at St. George renamed the festival as the Glendi which stands for good times. Those good times have expanded beyond our wildest expectations. What began as a small festival in 1980 has grown to become the premier Greek Festival in New England.

Today this event attracts a large and broad audience of attendees from New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine. Our three-day festival continues to set new attendance records exceeding the previous year and are now close to 40,000 visitors! This event is a can’t miss event and if you haven’t attended we can promise you the feeling of visiting Greece but having to travel only to St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Manchester, NH.

Through the news media exposure we receive and the television coverage on WMUR TV, you will see many dignitaries in attendance including the Governor, Senators, Congressman, Mayor, and, through the years, many candidates for President.

Our Glendi Festival promises a lifetime of memories for you and your family. This is a family event, and you will see authentic Greek dancers, Greek bands, Greek food and pastries, tour of the church and many other booths in our community center.

So put a hold on your calendar for the weekend of Friday September 18th-Sunday September 20^th. We will forward to welcoming you all to our 47^th Annual Glendi for good times and an event that you will never forget!!!
